Being the Vice President of Advantech's eAutomation Group, Howard overlooks the whole business operation, logistic development, sales management, product marketing and technical support across Asia and Europe. He is an eager advocate for open-frame automation systems, which he believes will lead to innovative applications that create unique value for the customers.

Howard graduated from National Taiwan University with a master degree in electronic engineering. He joined Hewlett Packard (HP) Taiwan in 1989 as a salesperson for measurement equipment. At HP, he had been an engineer, a project manager and regional sales manager. He transferred to Agilent Taiwan in 1998 as the head of sales and later became the vice president in 2000. His outstanding experience in sales and marketing can be seen from many records he has set with his teams during all these years.

Howard joined Advantech in 2003 as the vice president for eAutomation China and at the same time, as the head of Shanghai branch. He returned to the headquarters in 2005 to lead the sales force, which covered the Asia Pacific region. In the following years, Howard started to take on the role of leading the European sales force as well, aggressively creating new businesses and exploring uncharted markets.

Howard is a man who commits to his work with the words; "do it the best, otherwise, don't do it at all". Moreover, he has always kept himself at the forefront of the market and challenged himself continuously improve. He believes that every employee's potentials can be brought out only if they are placed in the right positions; therefore with the right team members under his wing, he is confident that Advantech will become the leader of open-frame automation systems in the near future.
